Tulleys Escape Rooms – Mutiny – 9.5/10
Crawley, West Sussex
It’s the year of our Lord 1672, and you be right in the height o’ the golden age o’ piracy…
After years of sailin’ the high seas, you and your crew have succeeded in your fair share of ambushes, and as a result – your ship is teemin’ with bounty.
Yet you’re still suffering beneath the cruel wrath o’ Captain Starling – a notoriously bloodthirsty buccaneer, and your shipmates have decided you all shall take matters into your own hands. After all… you fought for the gold, so the gold is yours for the taking, aye?
Once the old sea dog has retreated to his berth for the night, you make your move. Get in, get the treasure and get out. You won’t have long before he starts to stir – and Starling shows no mercy to ANY soul…

Kathryn was our host, she was nice and friendly but as we had gone through the lock brief three times already she just got us in the room quickly!
Now this room definitely had the wow factor in terms of theming and decoration! So much attention to detail and probably for me, the most immersive of all the Tulleys rooms.
The variety of puzzles was excellent and there was something that suited every member of our group! Some challenging physical puzzles as well as plenty of skillful ones. Definitely not the run-of-the-mill puzzles you might see in a standard escape room.
We were a group of 5 and had enough to keep us busy the majority of the time when we weren’t just enjoying the awesome props and decor. I would say if you are newbies you could probably take in a couple more team members!
A beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable room! We escaped with just over 20 minutes to spare and being our last game of 4 that day we were happy with that.
The tea room at Tulleys is lovely but there is a great pub/restaurant just down the road called the Duke’s Head which is excellent if you are looking for a meal.
