Room Escape Southend – The Cabin – 8/10
Your friend has gone missing and you’ve gone to investigate. Will you escape this Cabin in the woods?
This was decorated beautifully. Room Escape Southend created a cabin and an outdoor area all in a pretty small space and we really have to hand it to them in terms of the effect they managed to achieve.
Your aim in this game is to find and save your missing friend while also avoiding the reason she/he has gone missing in the first place (we won’t spoil it). The ‘reason’ was less intrusive than in their previous game Down the Rabbit Hole but still made everything more difficult. It was a good balance.
There was a reasonable variety of puzzles, although they did err on the side of mental puzzles and weren’t as difficult as some we’ve faced, but that would be on purpose due to the ‘reason’ adding difficulty to the game.
It was a good game and would be enjoyable for teams of 2-5 we think.
