Our fourth room of the day at House of Tales was The Executioner. A creepy room with another split start. Unfortunately we didn’t know it would be a split start so the GM just took us in the order we were standing. Uh oh! Girls v boys again. This is surely bad news…. yup. It was. We were relying on the boys to bring us back together but unfortunately they were “too big” to be observant, so it took us a little while to get going. Eventually we were back on track and trying to escape the executioners axe, and rack, and various other torture tools.

The décor around the rooms was pretty good, and the puzzles were fairly average. As a team of 5, personally I felt there were too many of us at times. The room was a bit too linear so I was standing around watching other people complete puzzles from a distance. For that reason I’d say that the room is really designed for 3 people as an optimum number.
