We had a room booked at another venue that day who had to cancel, so we put a post on the UK Escape Room Enthusiast’s page requesting a last minute room and Escape London were the first to respond!
Treasure island and pirates is a fairly well worn theme these days, up there with prison and Sherlock Holmes themes. None the less we always like trying them, and love to see how escape companies approach them.
Initial impressions as we walked in the room; it was well decorated and themed, creating an authentic atmosphere.
Initially you start off in two split locked spaces, searching around for what you need to get out, communicating all the while between the groups.
There are plenty of puzzles to do separately, which felt like they built up in difficulty the further you got into the room. There wasn’t necessarily anything groundbreakingly different compared to other rooms with similar themes. As always we got stuck on a couple of puzzles, but we always find our way.
Overall it was a good room, which any group would enjoy. It certainly felt like a room to do if you are just starting out with your escape room journey. Suitable for teams of up to 5.
