WARNING: Unlike our other rooms, this room contains parts which are designed to scare you. We recommend ages 13+ and there MUST be an adult present as part of the group.
Our hosts were Ash and Sam! We were a few minutes late due to needed a sugar fix as it was our 4th room of the day but they were really nice about it. They were very chatty and friendly and we had a bit of a discussion over the rooms completed so far that day. Then they got us quickly in the room with just a little warning there may or may not be a live actor but if one does make an appearance they won’t touch you so please don’t hurt them! Exactly what you hope for from a Horror themed room (well maybe except for A!)
Horror is my favourite theme so was really excited to do this room. I really can’t say too much as I do not want to give anything away but there was a first for us in this room which we really enjoyed and really added to the feeling of immersion.
There were definitely some clever puzzles in this room and everything really seemed to flow and work well. A couple of tough puzzles and a couple of obvious ones we almost missed, but we still managed it with no clues which is always our ultimate aim. The anticipation and lighting could on occasions be a bit distracting but thoroughly enjoyable.
The room was good for the 5 of us and I would probably say for newbies a few more people would definitely work.
We were late as we went to Waffle On Clacton about a 10 minute walk away. The milkshakes are amazing and it also had a very good selection of sweet and savoury food for the vegans in our team.
We had a great day out at Tricky Escapes and would highly recommend spending the day visiting all their locations in Essex.
